HVAC Project Manager $100,000-$150,000 + Bonus + Great Benefits!
Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering HVAC projects on time and within budget while building positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and fellow employees. They must have a comprehensive understanding of HVAC fundamentals and understand and be able to manage the entire process of an HVAC project from pre-construction through the completion of warranty.
This individual must be capable of assigning tasks, giving clear and concise direction, leading meetings, tracking and updating deadlines, setting individual and team goals, motivating team members and acting as a leader who helps others grow within the organization. You must have a good understanding of the financial process (managing cash flow and understanding the impact on the company) be able to accurately budget, track and present the financial progress of each project on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications:
Experience in the HVAC industry managing multiple complex projects.
Understand drawings & specs, manage & maintain project documents, manage teams to achieve project goals & objectives from project pre-planning through coordination, manage fab, work with foremen, track onsite install, execute job startup, commissioning, closeout and warranty.
OSHA 30 (if you do not, we'll pay for your class).
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word and be able to adapt to new technologies.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Review drawings, specs, estimates, and schedules to define scope, milestones, and budget alignment
Generate equipment/material takeoffs and verify system sizing (GPM/CFM)
Identify value engineering opportunities and support project optimization
Lead internal kickoff meetings, set team goals, and establish document control systems
Develop and execute procurement strategies, including bid reviews and scope leveling
Negotiate and issue subcontracts and purchase orders; manage procurement plans
Identify long-lead items and coordinate material/equipment storage and delivery logistics
Promote safety and coordinate across departments, field teams, and fabrication shop
Manage RFIs, submittals, permits, and project documentation flow
Develop and track schedules, labor plans, coordination, and fabrication efforts
Monitor field progress, conduct site walks, and maintain progress tracking systems
Manage subcontractors and track project costs vs. budget; report to executives
Oversee commissioning, O&Ms, closeout, and turnover to service teams
Handle billing, requisitions, cash flow planning, and invoice approvals
Manage change orders end-to-end, maintain stakeholder relationships, and mentor team members
