Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our growing team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and company standards.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals and pricing strategies
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, labor, and market pricing trends
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs
• Assist in project handoff to operations team upon award

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or piping)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction methods
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, FastEST, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
