Position Overview
Our firm is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a power generation services organization seeking an experienced Project Manager – LTSA. This role is responsible for coordinating and leading field execution related to long‑term service agreements supporting large rotating equipment.
The LTSA Project Manager serves as the primary execution and customer interface for planned and unplanned service activities across gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and associated equipment.
Location
United States — primary work in Texas, with approximately 75% travel primarily within the U.S.; limited international travel may be required for training or specific project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the customer and execution teams for LTSA‑related activities
- Lead planning and execution of scheduled and unscheduled service events under LTSA contracts
- Coordinate and manage Technical Field Advisors (TFAs), field labor, contractors, and vendors
- Oversee on‑site execution of maintenance, inspection, and outage activities
- Coordinate material, tooling, consumables, and parts planning with supply‑chain and site teams
- Manage site logistics, labor coordination, and contractor execution
- Lead safety planning and execution, including LOTO, job walkdowns, and compliance with site safety programs
- Manage daily execution meetings, reporting, and customer communications during active scopes
- Prepare and deliver outage reports, technical documentation, and close‑out packages
- Lead emergency outage response and corrective maintenance activities as required by LTSA contracts
- Enforce best practices in planning, scheduling, and execution across LTSA service scopes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10+ years hands‑on experience in rotating equipment or power generation field services
- 5+ years experience in a leadership or project management role supporting turbine services or outages
- Strong mechanical understanding of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems
- Proven ability to lead field teams, manage contractors, and coordinate multi‑discipline work
- Strong customer‑facing communication and execution leadership skills
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, and rotating shifts during active service events
Work Environment
- Site‑based during execution phases, including extended workdays as required
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in industrial environments
