Controls Commissioning Engineer

Location: Houston, TX (Travel Required)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Controls Commissioning Engineer to support startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and turnover activities on utility-scale Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power generation projects.
This role will lead controls and I&C commissioning activities from Mechanical Completion through First Fire, Synchronization, Reliability Testing, and Commercial Operation.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Controls / I&C Commissioning experience
- Direct experience commissioning Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCGT)
- Experience supporting:
- First Fire
- Synchronization
- Startup & Loading
- Reliability Runs
- Turnover to Operations
- Strong troubleshooting experience with controls, instrumentation, and integrated plant systems
- Ability to travel to project sites as required
Technical Experience
- GE Mark VI / Mark VIe
- Siemens T3000
- Emerson Ovation
- ABB or DeltaV systems
- DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI platforms
- I/O Checkout & Loop Checks
- Cause & Effect Testing
- FAT / SAT Execution
- Interlock & Trip Testing
- Instrument Calibration Verification
- Startup and Commissioning Documentation
