Overview
A real estate development firm specializing in high‑end construction is seeking a Cost Manager to focus exclusively on construction financial oversight and risk management. This role will act as an internal authority on budgeting, estimating, and cashflow for active and upcoming projects.
Responsibilities
- Review bids, estimates, and quantity takeoffs
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cashflow reporting
- Perform cost risk analysis and support financial decision‑making
- Monitor construction costs against contract and lender requirements
- Interface with lenders, loan monitors, and project teams
- Provide clear reporting on cost exposure and financial health of projects
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or construction financial control
- Quantity Surveying background or designation strongly preferred
- Experience with bid reviews, takeoffs, and budgeting for ground‑up construction
- Familiarity working with lenders, loan monitors, and risk management processes
- Highly analytical and detail‑oriented
