Job Summary:
We are seeking someone with experience in controls engineering for material handling systems. This role is responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning PLC-based control systems used in automated environments such as freight and parcel facilities, airport baggage handling systems, and warehouse or distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop control systems for automated material handling equipment
• Program PLCs from scratch and develop related control logic
• Configure and support system components including HMIs, drives, and field devices
• Lead or support commissioning of new automated systems at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during testing and startup
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and field technicians
• Ensure control systems meet operational, safety, and performance requirements
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in controls engineering for material handling systems
• Strong PLC programming experience from initial development through implementation
• Hands-on commissioning experience with new automated systems
• Industry experience in freight and parcel systems, airport baggage handling, and/or warehouse and distribution automation
• Familiarity with system integration in high-speed automated environments
• Ability to work in cross-functional project teams and support field commissioning activities
