Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Overview
Omni Staffing is seeking an experienced Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations, implementing EHS programs, and supporting leadership in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and procedures
- Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and Incident Command participation
- Audit and track compliance with OSHA programs (LOTO, confined space, fall protection)
- Manage safety metrics, inspections, corrective actions, and incident investigations
- Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as liaison with external agencies
- Conduct employee safety training and compliance audits
- Monitor exposure programs, hazard communication, and emergency equipment certifications
- Identify compliance risks and support continuous safety improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Safety, or related field
- CSP or CIH certification preferred
- Strong communication, training, and organizational skills
- Ability to work on the shop floor and in industrial conditions
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Swing Shift (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Compensation: Up to $120,000 annually
