Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, and lead new product introduction (NPI) efforts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical focal point for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with customer and internal specifications
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes for complex components and assemblies
  • Lead manufacturability efforts for detail parts, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies
  • Support Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and review/approve planning documentation
  • Create and maintain visual work instructions and process documentation
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes
  • Lead initial production cycles for new products (NPI)
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams and suppliers
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Coordinate tooling design and ensure effective implementation
  • Evaluate process performance and implement continuous improvements
  • Support quoting activities with technical input and cost data
  • Mentor and support junior engineers on process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 6+ years of experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and aerospace materials
  • Experience with processes such as welding, forming, NDT, machining, heat treating, and chemical processing
  • Proficiency in GD&T and manufacturing process development
  • Experience working with materials such as titanium, Inconel, aluminum, stainless steel, and tooling steels
