Staffworks has an exciting opportunity for a contract role starting at the beginning of March! Our client is looking for a Tax Administrative Assistant to support the implementation of the day-to-day administrative operations during the busiest time of the year.
We are looking for three motivated and flexible staff for this 2-month assignment, entry level candidates are encouraged to apply!
Hourly Pay: $20/hour
Location: Mississauga (100% onsite)
Start Date: March 2nd, 2026
End Date: May 1st, 2026
Main Responsibilities:
- Create system files in accordance with established guidelines
- Scan documentation in an organized, accurate and timely manner
- Assemble tax returns, which consists of printing, photocopying and collating documentation
- Review assembled product to ensure all required components are included and that client contact information is consistent throughout the documentation
- Email and electronically file tax returns i.e., T1s, T3s, T4s, T5s and T5013s
- E-file transmission of income tax returns to CRA
- Process client billings and distribute client deliverables internally and externally
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems ensuring pertinent information is saved in accordance with established parameters to enable efficient retrieval of information
- Maintain communication among team members by providing and sharing up to date information
- Order staff meals and other duties as requested
Main Requirements and Qualification:
- Diploma or certificate in related field plus a minimum of 1 year of administrative experience
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Basic working knowledge of CaseWare or TaxPrep is an asset
- Maintain effective communication, information flow and rapport between team members
- Ensuring inquiries regarding client files and other related matters are responded to in a timely and courteous manner
- Appropriate referral of issues and concerns to the most appropriate team member for resolution
- Respond to emails and voicemails in a timely manner
