Job Description

Payroll Administrator

Schedule: Monday to Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (1-hour unpaid break)
Duration: 4–6 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits Specialist with biweekly payroll processing

  • Run full-cycle biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)

  • Process and audit employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Collective Agreement and Employment Standards Act

  • Follow up with supervisors to ensure payroll deadlines are met

  • Compile and transmit payroll data to ADP within strict timelines

  • Enter employee data accurately based on payroll action forms

  • Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries and monitor the payroll inbox

  • Maintain and file payroll records in accordance with internal procedures

  • Assist with year-end reconciliations (EHT, WSIB, DCP, T4s)

  • Prepare ad hoc payroll reports as required

  • Prepare cheque requisitions when needed

Qualifications

  • Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
