An exciting opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and highly organized Coordinator, Stakeholder Relations to join a dynamic communications and stakeholder engagement team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of communications, event coordination, writing, and cross-department collaboration. You’ll play a key part in supporting internal and external stakeholders, driving strong communication practices, and helping deliver high-impact events and initiatives.
Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Relations, the Coordinator supports a wide range of departmental activities—including media monitoring, communications planning, inbox and inquiry management, intranet content updates, event coordination, and general stakeholder support. You will also work closely with internal subject matter experts and external partners to ensure smooth and effective communication flow.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their communications or stakeholder-relations career who is eager to build experience across events, writing, media monitoring, and relationship management.
Daily Media Monitoring: Compile and distribute daily media monitoring reports to internal teams and board-level stakeholders.
Inbox Management: Monitor shared inboxes, respond professionally to inquiries, and triage messages to relevant departments as needed—ensuring accuracy through collaboration with internal subject matter experts.
Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events such as town halls, tradeshows, presentations, elections, and annual meetings. Liaise with vendors, speakers, and partners; maintain a centralized event calendar.
Content Development: Draft presentations and support writing projects, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Stakeholder & Communications Support: Assist with social media, media relations, budgeting tasks, stakeholder management, and additional projects as assigned.
Documentation & Issues Management: Maintain organized processes, including tracking tools and an issues management binder.
Minimum 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Postsecondary education in communications, journalism, business, event management, office administration, or a related field.
Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, and Outlook.
Familiarity with email distribution tools such as Envoke or Constant Contact.
Solid hands-on experience in event planning and coordination.
Strong writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, work under pressure, and adapt quickly.
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
