Staffworks is seeking an Business Analyst, 12 Month Contract for our Mississauga client.

40 hours a week, typically around 8AM-4:30PM. Mon-Thurs in office.

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst is responsible for managing initiatives that support improvements within Transportation, Supply Chain.

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-directed Business Analyst to perform a critical role in leading the delivery of process improvement initiatives, analysis, data visualization, end user tool development, and technology solutions to increase transportation efficiency and capacity, improve service levels, reduce costs and drive better decisions.

This role will be involved in all the phases of the development of business solutions, from the identification and analysis of opportunities, through to implementation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:
· Perform in depth analysis of data, turn large sets of data into meaningful information, and develop viable conclusions within the framework of the project.
· Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements using continuous improvement methodologies.
· Analyze data and processes to present findings and potential solutions to leadership. · Develop Cost/Benefit Analyses and Visualizations (i.e. Power BI) for various projects. · Contribute to or lead investigations of business requests. · Provide input on business processes and technical issues.
· Evaluate cost impacts of carrier contracts and support negotiation materials creation. · Obtain project relevant information from internal and external sources.
· Document processes and develop Standard Operating Procedure and training material. · Run and validate reports to gather shipment and forecast data from various sources.

What You Bring:
· Post-secondary education in Business, Logistics, Math, or Engineering.
· Advanced user of standard desktop tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access.
· Advanced skills in Data Analytics with Relational Databases (i.e. SQL, advanced Access). · Familiar with data Analytics /Optimization, Reporting & Visualization tools (i.e. Power BI , Lucid, Python etc.,).
· 2-5 years of business experience within Supply Chain; transportation experience is an asset.
· Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. · Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
· Familiarity with project management and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
