Assistant Manager, Communications & Policy
Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite)
Our client, located in Toronto, is seeking an Assistant Manager, Communications & Policy to lead the development and execution of strategic communications and organizational policy initiatives. This role supports leadership in maintaining a clear, consistent voice across channels and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Lead and implement strategic communications initiatives and frameworks that support organizational goals.
Advise senior leaders and staff on communication strategy and stakeholder engagement.
Manage content across digital and print platforms, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
Oversee communications materials such as newsletters, media responses, website content, and publications.
Support policy development by conducting research, aligning policies with best practices, and ensuring governance consistency.
Supervise and mentor team members and coordinate external communications consultants.
5–7 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, or a related field.
Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a similar discipline.
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, content development, and media relations.
Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (AODA), social media, and content management systems.
Experience in policy-related communications within a regulatory or governance environment is an asset.
Bilingualism in English and French is an advantage.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable balancing strategic and hands-on responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
