Staffworks is hiring for our non-profit/regulatory client in Toronto's West End! We have an urgent need for an Administrative Assistant (Events) supporting the Stakeholder Relations Department with managing events.
Work Type: Contract Duration: 6-months Pay Rate: $28/hour
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a stakeholder relations or internal communications environment.
Familiarity with maintaining and updating databases and with CASL and other privacy legislation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and maintain meticulous records and documentation.
Knowledge of basic project management principles and practices. Capable of overseeing project timelines, tracking deadlines and assisting in project-related tasks.
Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and PowerBI, database management systems such as Constant Contact or MailChimp, etc. with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare presentations, reports and interact with stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in coordinating and organizing event logistics and managing vendor relationships.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
Keen eye for detail in document preparation, meeting coordination and data management to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Self-starter.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public relations or a related field is helpful as are additional certifications in project management, event planning or stakeholder relations.
