Job Description

Staffworks is hiring for our non-profit/regulatory client in Toronto's West End! We have an urgent need for an Administrative Assistant (Events) supporting the Stakeholder Relations Department with managing events.

Work Type: Contract
Duration: 6-months
Pay Rate: $28/hour

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a stakeholder relations or internal communications environment. 
  • Familiarity with maintaining and updating databases and with CASL and other privacy legislation. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and maintain meticulous records and documentation. 
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles and practices. Capable of overseeing project timelines, tracking deadlines and assisting in project-related tasks. 
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and PowerBI, database management systems such as Constant Contact or MailChimp, etc. with the ability to learn new tools quickly. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare presentations, reports and interact with stakeholders effectively. 
  • Proficiency in coordinating and organizing event logistics and managing vendor relationships. 
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external. 
  • Keen eye for detail in document preparation, meeting coordination and data management to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Self-starter. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public relations or a related field is helpful as are additional certifications in project management, event planning or stakeholder relations.
