Our client is seeking a highly technical, hands-on individual contributor lead to join their Data & Analytics team. This role combines strategic data architecture leadership with hands-on delivery, focused on modernizing enterprise reporting and advancing the organization’s data warehouse and analytics capabilities.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SSRS, SSAS Tabular, DAX, and SQL/T-SQL, along with a forward-thinking, AI-first mindset that improves engineering productivity, scalability, and reporting quality. This individual will play a key role in modernizing reporting workflows, enhancing semantic modeling practices, and contributing to the evolution of a modern Snowflake-based data platform.
Key Responsibilities
Immediate Priorities (First 3–6 Months)
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned SSRS report modernization efforts
- Convert existing SSRS reports from T-SQL stored procedure datasets to SSAS Tabular semantic models using DAX
- Redesign report datasets and reporting logic to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Develop and optimize enterprise SSRS reports, including parameters, layouts, interactive functionality, and user experience standards
- Configure and maintain standard and data-driven report subscriptions and scheduling
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to validate reporting logic and ensure data accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks across DAX queries, semantic models, and reporting layers
- Contribute to Snowflake data warehouse enhancements that support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives
Long-Term Priorities (6+ Months)
