Job Description

SOLTECH is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (React / Node.js) to design and build modern, scalable web applications. In this role, you’ll work across the stack using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, helping shape architecture, deliver high-impact features, and mentor engineers.

This is a high-ownership engineering role where senior developers drive technical decisions, influence system design, and help define best practices across the platform.

Role is remote, but candidates must be in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and deliver full-stack features from concept to production
• Develop modern React applications using TypeScript
• Build scalable Node.js APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering standards
• Mentor engineers and help elevate development practices across the team
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows

What We're Looking For

Core Experience

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building React applications with modern patterns (hooks, component architecture, state management)
• Backend development experience with Node.js and modern frameworks (Express, NestJS, or similar)
• Strong experience with TypeScript across the stack
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
• Experience with ORM or query tools such as Prisma, TypeORM, or Sequelize
• Ability to independently design and deliver production-grade full-stack features

Modern Development Environment

Comfortable working with:

• Docker and containerized development
• Linux-based environments
• CLI tooling and modern developer workflows
• Git-based collaborative development

AI-Enabled Development

• Experience using AI coding tools to accelerate development
• Ability to evaluate and responsibly apply AI-generated solutions
• Interest in building AI-enabled software products

Bonus Experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Experience building microservices or distributed systems
• Familiarity with Next.js, Vite, or modern React frameworks
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies
• Experience integrating AI services or building AI-enabled applications
• Mobile development experience (React Native)
