Position Summary
The Advisor Technology Specialist is a versatile, generalist role focused on supporting advisors, optimizing workflows, and improving operational processes. In this position, you will provide technical support, manage reporting and data tasks, and help ensure a smooth onboarding and technology experience for advisors.
This is an in-office role based in Atlanta, where you will collaborate closely with a small team to support client needs, manage operational workflows, and deliver excellent service to advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Advisor & Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for advisor technology issues, managing support tickets through platforms such as Zendesk and troubleshooting applications including Black Diamond.
- Data Management: Perform billing-related tasks, maintain spreadsheets, and analyze data using advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs.
- Operational Support: Assist with daily operational workflows, including keying in transactions and supporting business processes across the organization.
- Reporting & Analysis: Create, maintain, and manage reports that track performance, progress, and operational metrics.
- Advisor Onboarding & Training: Support onboarding for advisors and clients by delivering training and guidance on technology platforms and internal workflows.
- Research & Process Improvement: Investigate issues, conduct research, and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency and user experience
- Team Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across the organization to meet team objectives and contribute wherever needed in a small-team environment.
- Task Prioritization: Effectively manage competing priorities by understanding advisor needs and aligning with internal stakeholder goals.
Required Qualifications
- Generalist Mindset: Thrives in a dynamic environment with varied responsibilities and enjoys learning new systems and processes.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs; experience working with support ticketing systems such as Zendesk; background in application or product support.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Team-Oriented Approach: Flexible, collaborative, and willing to contribute across multiple functions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communicator who asks thoughtful questions, identifies next steps, and effectively trains others on technology and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Black Diamond or similar wealth management platforms.
- Background supporting advisor-focused technology, workflow management tools, or financial services applications.
Location
- Must be local to the Atlanta area and able to work on-site in the office.
