Our client, a leading fintech innovator serving banks and credit unions nationwide, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Architect to provide technical leadership across a modern, Microsoft-centric technology ecosystem. Position Overview

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer / Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure identity, authentication, and integration solutions across a growing platform ecosystem.

This is a hands-on engineering role with architectural ownership. The ideal candidate will drive Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations with digital banking platforms and third-party benefit providers while actively contributing to application development and delivery. This role requires deep expertise in modern .NET development, Azure cloud architecture, and enterprise identity frameworks within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and hands-on development of secure, scalable, cloud-based software solutions
• Design and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations with digital banking systems and third-party platforms
• Architect and support identity management solutions using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML
• Design, implement, and maintain Identity Provider (IdP) capabilities
• Develop and manage authentication and token services leveraging Azure AD B2C and Duende IdentityServer
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and external integration partners to define secure integration patterns
• Guide architectural strategy for APIs, microservices, and new feature development
• Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code within a modern Microsoft technology stack
• Mentor engineering team members and elevate development best practices
• Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, scalability, and performance requirements—particularly within financial services environments

Required Technical Expertise

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated architectural leadership
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  
  • .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
  • React
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Azure Cloud (App Services, Azure AD, Azure AD B2C, etc.)
• Deep expertise in:
  • Auth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • SAML
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations
  • Identity Provider (IdP) design and implementation
  • Azure AD B2C
  • Duende IdentityServer (successor to IdentityServer4)
• Experience building and securing APIs and microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of authentication flows, token issuance, claims-based identity, and federation
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries strongly preferred
