The MDM Hub Developer partners closely with MDM Data Engineers—who design and build the integrations into and out of the hub—and the Senior MDM Lead, who defines the business rules and governance frameworks. This position requires deep technical expertise in EnterWorks and a strong understanding of MDM hub architecture.
Key Responsibilities
EnterWorks Platform Configuration
Configure and maintain EnterWorks MDM environments across development, test, and production
Implement the logical party model, translating discovery outputs into EnterWorks-specific data structures
Configure customer entity definitions, attributes, and relationships to support complex hierarchies and dual-role entities (customer/vendor)
Set up and manage user roles, permissions, and security configurations
Manage platform upgrades, patches, and configuration migrations across environments
Golden Record & Data Quality Configuration
Configure matching rules to identify duplicate and related customer records
Implement survivorship rules to determine attribute-level golden record values
Configure merge and link processes to consolidate duplicates while preserving source system lineage
Implement data quality rules and validation logic
Configure data quality dashboards and ongoing monitoring capabilities
Build exception handling and quarantine processes for records failing quality or match rules
Stewardship Workflow Development
Design and implement stewardship workflows based on governance requirements defined by the Senior MDM Lead
Configure approval processes, task routing, and escalation paths for data stewards
Build user interfaces for stewardship activities such as data review, merge decisions, and exception resolution
Implement audit logging and change tracking to support governance and compliance
Configure notifications and alerts for stewardship tasks and data quality issues
MDM Hub Development
Build consolidated MDM (stage-to-hub) capabilities to create golden customer records from multiple source systems
Develop centralized MDM (hub-to-ERP) capabilities to synchronize mastered data back to downstream systems
Configure APIs and services for consuming applications to access master customer data
Implement hierarchy management for complex customer and party relationships
Build reporting and analytics within EnterWorks to support MDM program metrics
Technical Assessment & Collaboration
Assess existing EnterWorks configurations and identify gaps and enhancement opportunities
Collaborate with MDM Data Engineers on integration design and data flow alignment
Support the Senior MDM Lead in translating business requirements into technical configurations
Document platform configurations, customizations, and technical specifications
Provide knowledge transfer to client technical staff on EnterWorks administration and maintenance
Phase Alignment
Phase 1: MDM Initiation & Solution Selection – Standardize, Govern
Assess current EnterWorks configuration
Design hub data model
Configure initial matching and survivorship rules
Build stewardship workflow prototypes
Set up development environment
Phase 2: MDM Design, Build & Delivery – Achieve
Complete hub configuration for consolidated and centralized MDM
Implement full stewardship workflows
Configure data quality monitoring and dashboards
Support UAT and performance optimization
Conduct knowledge transfer to client teams
Working Relationships
Senior MDM Lead: Receives governance requirements and business rules; validates configurations align with business intent
MDM Data Engineers: Collaborates on source-to-hub and hub-to-consumer integrations and error handling
Process & Change Analyst: Supports stewardship UI design and workflow usability
Client Technical SMEs: Coordinates on EnterWorks access, infrastructure, and ongoing administration
Technical Environment
MDM Platform: EnterWorks (primary focus for configuration, customization, and workflow development)
Data Domain: Customer/Party with complex hierarchies, multi-level relationships, and dual-role entities
Integration Touchpoints: APIs and interfaces supporting source-to-hub and hub-to-ERP data flows
Environments: Development, Test/QA, and Production
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with MDM platforms, including at least 2 years of hands-on EnterWorks experience
Strong expertise in EnterWorks data modeling, matching, survivorship, and workflow configuration
Experience implementing Customer or Party MDM solutions with complex hierarchies
Solid understanding of MDM architectural patterns (hub, registry, consolidated, centralized)
Proficiency in configuring data quality rules and validation logic
Experience building stewardship workflows and user interfaces
Strong SQL skills for analysis and troubleshooting
Ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations
Experience with environment management and configuration migration
Preferred Qualifications
EnterWorks certification or formal training
Experience with other MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, or Semarchy
Background in manufacturing or distribution environments
Experience developing or supporting APIs for MDM data services
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and stewardship models
Experience supporting MDM platform upgrades and migrations
Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns
