Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Program Manager to join their PMO team with a strong focus on Cybersecurity and IT Operations. This role is responsible for leading and delivering complex programs across the cybersecurity and IT operations landscape.
The Program Manager will collaborate closely with Security Architects, IT Operations leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams to advance the organization’s security posture and IT infrastructure. Initiatives include security enhancements, infrastructure modernization, compliance efforts, and the implementation of new cybersecurity and operational technologies.
This is a hybrid role. Applicants must reside within 30 minutes of the client's Duluth, GA office.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership
Lead, manage, and execute comprehensive Cybersecurity and IT Operations programs aligned with organizational strategy and business objectives
Project Management Excellence
Initiate projects by defining scope, authorizing work, developing charters, and identifying key stakeholders
Plan projects by creating detailed schedules, scope statements, budgets, and resource plans
Execute projects by leading cross-functional teams, coordinating resources, tracking progress, managing risks, and implementing corrective actions
Formalize project acceptance, document lessons learned, and transition deliverables to operational teams
Requirements Management
Partner with Security Architects and IT Operations Managers to document current-state and future-state requirements for security enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, and new technology implementations
Security & Infrastructure Implementation
Participate in or lead initiatives involving security frameworks (e.g., Zero Trust, identity and access management), IT infrastructure transformations, and regulatory or compliance programs
Support organizational change management efforts tied to security and infrastructure initiatives
Budget & Resource Management
Support program and project budgeting activities, track expenditures, and optimize resource allocation to ensure delivery within financial constraints
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build strong, trusted relationships with leadership, business partners, and technical teams across the organization
Reporting & Executive Communication
Develop and deliver clear, concise project status reports and presentations, highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
Project Tracking & Metrics
Establish and maintain project tracking tools and dashboards
Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Change Management Support
Apply change management best practices, collaborating with Neptune Change Management agents to address resistance and ensure smooth adoption of security policies and infrastructure changes
Process Improvement & Documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of IT operations and security workflows
Develop and maintain documentation, with preference for experience in ITIL or IT service management environments
Jira & Agile Support
Use Jira to manage backlogs, track tasks, and support Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Proactive Problem Solving
Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and a self-starter mindset to identify and resolve issues proactively
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in program and project management, with exposure to cybersecurity and IT operations
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects, preferably in manufacturing or regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with security framework implementations and IT infrastructure initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and conflict resolution capabilities
- Experience with Jira and project management tools such as Microsoft Project
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT operations, and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Familiarity with change management principles applied to security and infrastructure transformations
- Ability to build detailed project plans, manage budgets, and track progress effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MBA, Cybersecurity, Project Management)
- Professional certifications such as PMP or CAPM
