Job Description

Our client, a leading integrated service provider and marketplace serving the real estate and mortgage industries, is seeking a highly skilled Manager of Financial Reporting to lead a critical financial reporting function. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements and disclosures aligned with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex reporting processes. This U.S.-based position offers remote flexibility to support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures
  • Ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control standards
  • Lead technical accounting research and implement new accounting standards
  • Manage consolidation and reporting processes for multiple entities
  • Coordinate audit activities with internal and external auditors
  • Maintain SOX compliance and enhance internal control frameworks
  • Deliver financial analysis and insights supporting executive-level decisions
  • Mentor, coach, and develop the financial reporting team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • CPA required; additional certifications such as CMA or CIA are a plus
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting, including SEC reporting and public accounting
  • Advanced expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience at Big 4 consulting firms
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting system
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience with IFRS and international reporting standards
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control practices
  • Ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven priorities
