Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a dynamic product management team. The Product Owner will define detailed requirements, manage the product backlog, develop user guides, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives and user needs. Acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, this role translates business requirements into actionable user stories and product features.

Job Details/Responsibilities
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create functional requirements, UX/UI designs, or mock-ups based on business needs.
  • Participate in and conduct peer reviews of functional requirements and related documentation.
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on business value and user impact.
  • Groom and refine backlog items to ensure development team readiness.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Manage scope changes and communicate impacts across teams.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure sprint success.
  • Provide timely decisions and clarifications to remove development blockers.
  • Review and accept completed work based on acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and decisions.
  • Deliver regular product updates to stakeholders and conduct feature demonstrations.
  • Create release notes for production deployments and share them internally.
  • Develop and maintain user guides for new features or enhancements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner.
  • Experience with M2M and/or IoT solutions desirable. 3+ years of experience in the electronic monitoring industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the product lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint (or similar).
  • Experience with UI/UX design or wireframing tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma).
  • Familiarity with software development concepts and ability to collaborate with technical teams.

Location
Must be local to Alpharetta, GA and meet hybrid working schedule.
