Job Description

Overview:
Our client is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Lead Backend .NET Engineer to lead the charge on their critical EHR integrations. You’ll play a foundational role in designing and scaling the infrastructure that powers secure, real-time communication between an AI scribe platform and healthcare systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex systems, cares deeply about data integrity, and is ready to lead technically.

Job Details:
  • Architect, build, and maintain high-performance .NET Core APIs and services focused on data integrations.
  • Lead integration efforts with major EHRs, billing platforms, and third-party APIs.
  • Ensure reliability, security, and compliance (HIPAA, PHI) across all integration endpoints.
  • Design and maintain fault-tolerant, version-controlled, CI/CD-ready infrastructure for backend services.
  • Own observability for integrations — build and manage logging, alerting, and system health dashboards.
  • Write and maintain detailed integration documentation and onboarding materials.
  • Work cross-functionally with machine learning, DevOps, and product teams to deliver production-ready features.
  • Champion clean code, automated testing, and scalable architecture practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help drive backend best practices across the organization.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of backend development experience with deep proficiency in .NET Core and C#.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Azure cloud services.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations with EHR systems or other regulated, high-uptime platforms.
  • Clear understanding of data security, compliance, and healthcare protocols (HIPAA, PHI).
  • Skilled in debugging edge cases, maintaining uptime, and managing third-party data flows.
  • Comfortable staying hands-on while acting as the technical lead for projects.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
