Overview:
Our client is seeking a Release Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated release pipelines. This role ensures scalable, secure, and repeatable software deployments across cloud-native and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate combines DevOps expertise with strong scripting skills and a collaborative mindset to drive continuous delivery excellence.

Job Details:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and secure software releases
• Coordinate and execute major, minor, and patch releases, ensuring quality and communication
• Implement progressive delivery strategies (e.g., blue/green, canary deployments)
• Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
• Provision and support non-production environments for consistency across the SDLC
• Monitor deployments and production environments with logging and alerting tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues with a focus on root-cause analysis
• Maintain documentation on release governance, versioning, tagging, and rollback procedures
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations
• Promote DevOps best practices and mentor peers in tooling and automation
• Support hybrid networking and infrastructure in virtualized/containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, product, and infrastructure teams to align timelines and priorities

Requirements:

• 5–10 years in DevOps, Release Engineering, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Expertise with Git workflows, branching strategies, and source control
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Ansible
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team communication skills
• Exposure to DORA metrics, release KPIs, compliance-heavy environments a plus
• Willingness to participate in after-hours deployments as needed

Location:
Hybrid in office 3 days a week.
