Job Description

Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and execute robust automated testing strategies that ensure our technical applications and systems meet quality standards before deployment. This role is instrumental in driving continuous testing initiatives, maintaining high-quality software, and supporting efficient delivery through test automation best practices.

C2C candidates will not be considered and visa sponsorship is not available for this role. 

Job Details:

  • Develop test plans, strategies, environments, scenarios, and scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with agile development teams to support product backlog refinement, sprint planning, story development, testing, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Estimate timelines for test automation initiatives and align them with overall testing strategies and objectives.
  • Design and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and SOAPUI/API, ensuring broad test coverage and thorough risk analysis.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and prompt feedback.
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and libraries for smoke, functional, and regression testing.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and quality best practices for scalable, reusable automation solutions.
  • Document and triage software defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with QA/Dev teams to drive resolution.
  • Communicate test results, risks, and blockers that may impact sprint deliverables or release schedules.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system reliability, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes and tools.
  • Keep documentation up to date and easily accessible for stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and recommend emerging tools and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of combined QA and automation testing experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in automation testing roles.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on automation scripting in C#.
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and SOAPUI/API.
  • Experience in a CI/CD environment, preferably with Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with test frameworks like xUnit (preferred).
  • Proficient with development tools such as Visual Studio and version control systems like Git.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and working understanding of MS SQL Server or similar databases.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Location:

 Must be local to Alpharetta, GA and comfortable with onsite requirements.
