Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Test Engineering Manager to lead the development and support of production test systems for high-volume manufacturing of electronic meter reading systems. This role involves managing a team of Test Engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional departments such as Quality, Manufacturing, IT & Security, and R&D. 

Job Details:

• Lead and manage the Test Engineering group’s projects and priorities
• Design, develop, and support production test systems using NI LabVIEW and TestStand
• Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams during the design and implementation of new products
• Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, validation, and troubleshooting of production test equipment and software
• Provide formal and informal mentoring to other engineers
• Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless test integration and product quality
• Apply project management skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Requirements:

• BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• 6+ years of experience developing test systems with NI LabVIEW
• 2+ years of experience managing a test engineering team in a high-volume manufacturing setting
• Strong troubleshooting and interpersonal communication skills
• Project management experience in a dynamic environment
• Familiarity with In-Circuit Test (ICT) methods and equipment is a plus

This position is located in Tallassee, Alabama. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
