Job Description

Job Summary:
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as a strategic partner between the IT department and business units within a manufacturing company. This role is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring that IT solutions effectively support manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and overall business goals. The BRM facilitates communication between IT and business stakeholders, drives digital transformation, and ensures that technology investments deliver value.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment:
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring alignment of IT solutions with manufacturing goals.
  • Understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities to recommend technology-driven improvements.
  • Partner with leadership teams to define IT roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
  • Advocate for business needs within IT while ensuring IT strategies align with company objectives.
Technology & Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing operations, supply chain efficiency, and business processes through technology.
  • Support the selection, implementation, and optimization of ERP, MES, and other manufacturing-related systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business leaders to ensure mutual understanding of goals and challenges.
  • Organize and lead regular business reviews to assess IT performance and discuss future technology needs.
  • Ensure end-user feedback is incorporated into IT strategy and service delivery improvements.
Project & Change Management:
  • Work with IT and business teams to ensure successful implementation of IT projects.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, risks, and change management for technology-driven initiatives.
  • Develop training and adoption strategies to ensure business users effectively utilize IT solutions.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of IT initiatives on business performance.
  • Use data insights to drive process improvements and strategic IT planning.
