Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect to lead the design and development of comprehensive software solutions across IoT, data warehousing, and user-facing applications. As a generalist, you will be comfortable working across multiple layers of the stack, guiding teams on systems integration, and implementing scalable, secure, and high performance solutions.

Job Details:

• Lead architecture design for large-scale distributed systems within the IoT ecosystem, including data pipelines and user interfaces.
• Drive cloud strategy, optimizing AWS for computing, storage, and data management.
• Design secure integration between IoT devices, databases, cloud platforms, and front-end applications.
• Architect data pipelines and warehousing solutions for IoT data, ensuring integrity and security.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to create user-friendly interfaces in Angular.
• Mentor teams on best practices across AWS, .NET, Python, SQL, and Angular.
• Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders for alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure system security, performance optimization, and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and maintain a technical roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation in architecture and system design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years in software architecture roles
• Expertise in AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB), .NET (C#), Python, SQL, and Angular.
• Proficiency in .NET (C#), Python, SQL, and familiarity with additional programming languages.
• Strong experience with Angular for front-end development.
• Strong foundation in enterprise software architecture, data sanitization, and chain of custody principles.
• Preferred experience with IoT systems and firmware development (nice to have).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, IAM, and DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC on AWS).
• Excellent communication skills and understanding of Agile methodologies; data analytics/AI/ML experience is a plus.
• Strong mentor with a collaborative mindset and ability to guide teams through architectural challenges.

Location:
Position based in Tallassee, Alabama, or Duluth, Georgia, with up to 20% travel to manufacturing or customer locations as needed.
