Overview:

SOLTECH is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join an Agile team for our client who is building state-of-the-art FinTech software. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-autonomy environment where innovative thinking and impactful work are highly valued. 

Job Details:

You will lead the development and enhancement of a FinTech platform, influencing both product design and team dynamics. Working with a fully Azure-hosted infrastructure, you will collaborate on a variety of technologies, including C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, Angular, and Azure DevOps, with a focus on delivering a full-stack experience covering database management, front-end development, and DevOps.

  • Design, write, and optimize well-structured, testable, and efficient code.
  • Oversee the integration of external APIs to expand our core platform’s capabilities.
  • Conduct and lead code reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in daily standups and Agile ceremonies to drive effective team collaboration and project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements, leading initiatives for enhanced software performance and usability.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, with a proven track record in technical leadership.
  • Technical Leadership: At least 2 years of experience mentoring developers and leading Scrum teams.
  • API Integration: Hands-on experience managing external API integrations.
  • Languages & Frameworks: Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework for microservices development.
  • Principles: Solid understanding of SOLID design principles, especially Inversion of Control (IoC) and Single Responsibility Principle (SRP).
  • Testing: Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing.
  • Database Management: SQL proficiency, with expertise in relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres.
  • Frontend & UI Development: Skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Tools & Systems: Proficient with Git and familiar with SQL reporting (Raw Queries, SSRS, Power BI).
  • Cloud & DevOps: Cloud development experience, particularly in Azure; exposure to Azure DevOps and distributed computing environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Full-Stack Project Management: Proven experience leading projects from design through deployment.
  • Architecture & Protocols: Knowledge of N-Layer architecture, exception handling, logging, REST, lightweight messaging, and WCF.
  • NoSQL & Salesforce: Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Salesforce integration.
Location: Remote (Located in EST and Central Time highly preferred)
