Job Description

Overview:
As a Business Intelligence Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in enterprise applications to design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, and create PowerBI solutions to support business objectives. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand requirements, ensuring the reliability and performance of data pipelines, while also engaging in agile team practices and staying updated on industry best practices. 

Qualified candidates must be comfortable commuting to the Duluth, GA office or Tallassee, AL office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  

Job Details:

• Understand business requirements and master data management principles to perform technical implementations.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Optimize SSIS packages for performance, error handling, logging, and auditing to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Document best practices for ETL, data mappings, and technical specifications for future reference.
• Develop and optimize PowerBI data models, dashboards, and reports while integrating enterprise applications and data.
• Conduct data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies, supporting QA and UAT testing for PowerBI solutions.
• Participate in agile team ceremonies and stay updated on industry best practices and technologies related to ETL, data integration, and cloud-based solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant position.
• Prior experience with ETL utilizing tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.
• Experience with data-mapping, cleaning data, and documenting/following best practices.
• Experience doing BI reporting, including requirements gathering with cross functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and strong team-building skills.
• Pragmatic problem solving and decision-making skills with excellent written and verbal communications.
• Relentless passion and commitment to operational excellence – delivering in scope, on time, on budget to the delight of internal customers.

• The following certifications are not required but preferred, Power BI Certification, Azure Certification (Database, AI/ML), and any Cloud DB Certification.
• Experience with QAD or SAP ERP preferred.
