Job Description: Product Manager - Data Modernization and Agile Implementation
We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead our Data Modernization projects and drive Agile methodologies within our team. This role will play a crucial part in transforming our technical landscape and enhancing our capabilities across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage a team consisting of 2 Data Engineers, 1 Salesforce Developer, 1 Data Reports Developer, and 1 Data Clerk, along with oversight from a Product Manager.
Project Management: Implement Agile methodologies (ACP certification preferred) to oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle.
Customer Interaction: Collaborate closely with stakeholders and customers to translate business requirements into actionable development plans.
Technical Oversight: Supervise the migration from on-premises SQL Server to Cloud EDW (SnowFlake) in our Microsoft-centric environment.
Process Improvement: Establish and enforce standards and processes to streamline software development and ensure efficiency.
Business Analysis: Engage with internal teams to gather requirements and convert them into comprehensive software development tasks.
Documentation and Tracking: Utilize Jira for ticketing and Confluence for documentation to track project progress and maintain transparency.
Project Scope:
This role will initially focus on:
Partnering with Data Modernization teams and vendors to make critical decisions and drive initiatives.
Addressing daily business requests, particularly related to employer data integration and streamlining processes using AI-driven insights.
Enhancing functionalities within the Salesforce system to accommodate diverse user needs and transforming project goals into actionable tickets.
Business Outcomes:
The primary focus will be on member-centric solutions, optimizing processes related to employer data management, and promoting labor-friendly practices.
Daily Breakdown:
20%: Meeting refinement requests and addressing business needs.
1-2 daily scrums: Planning, ticket management, and status updates.
1-2 hours weekly: Streamlining and modernizing processes.
Regular collaboration with directors and Vice President Ethan.
Challenges:
This role operates in an ambiguous environment where adaptability and proactive planning are essential.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in a data-centric role, familiarity with PII and data privacy regulations.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt to unstructured environments.
Strong track record in Agile project management and technical leadership.

Required Skills:

Masters, Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent expeirences.
