Job Description

Purpose:
Acts as a liaison between the business units, project management and the developers supporting projects, data management, reporting solutions and self-service dashboard solutions.


Business Analysis:
  • Acts as primary contact between IT and all business areas to review, analyze, document business requirements.
  • Understand business requests/problems, understand the core issue, and provide solutions/alternatives.
  • Ability to Translate walls of data into actionable insights through valuable data key points and visualization.
  • Document requirements for reports/extracts including business process workflow and data flow documentation. Coordinate the development, user acceptance testing, and deployment of Tableau Dashboards and SQL Server Reports.
  • Prepare and present changes to review committee for change approvals before deployment. Support Business teams across organization with ADHOC reports using SQL and/or Tableau Server/Desktop/Prep Develop and document user manuals and tip sheets as required.
  • Triage and troubleshoot production issues for reports and dashboards.

Project Management:
  • Provides Project Management support to ensure one time delivery of work efforts Organizes tasks, timelines and delivery schedules. Provides weekly status reports recapping project progress, issues, risks, and costs.
  • Coordinates resource requirements to ensure that appropriate business and technical staff are available. Obtains business owner acceptance for completed efforts.
Mentoring and training:
  • Acts in a consultative role to internal business and technical staff.
  • Develops training materials and conducts training in support of project efforts. Serves as mentor within the IT department regarding industry standard documentation methods, best practice workflow processes, data flow diagrams, and application solutions. 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education and Training Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required.
  • Prior Related Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare (preferred), preferably in the Health Plan business processes. Strong alternative experience will be considered. Minimum 7 years’ experience in business or systems analysis.
  • Experience in Information Technology preferred. Experience in Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) preferred. Experience in SQL for ADHOC analysis.
  • Experience creating user stories to define business needs and support applications development.
  • Experience documenting process and data flows. Development of business requirements and supporting documentation.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology preferred. Experience in project management or project coordination. Project Management industry standards/best practices. Ability to create process documentation to include process flow charts and written documentation.
  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Ability to read and write basic SQL statements. Basic understanding of data modeling. Excellent written communications skills Working knowledge of Visio, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
