815 Compactor Operator 

Pay: $25-$27 HR/DOE | Location: Cumming, GA | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits 

Signature Labor Services is hiring an experienced 815 Compactor Operator for commercial construction projects in Cumming, Georgia and surrounding areas, including Alpharetta, Gainesville, Dawsonville, Sugar Hill, and Johns Creek.

We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused operator with experience operating heavy equipment on commercial construction and earthwork projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 815 compactor safely and efficiently on commercial jobsites

• Compact soil, aggregate, and other materials to required specifications

• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues

• Follow grade, compaction, and project specifications

• Work closely with operators, laborers, foremen, and site supervisors

• Maintain proper equipment positioning and safe operating practices

• Assist with general earthwork and sitework duties as needed

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience operating an 815 compactor or similar heavy equipment required 

• Commercial construction or heavy civil experience preferred

• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment around other workers and machinery

• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and daily inspections

• Must be dependable and safety-conscious

• Reliable transportation to the jobsite

• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions

• Must be able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew

All employees must have proper PPE hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses and work gloves.
