We are seeking a skilled Journeyman-Level Project Engineer to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This role requires a highly organized professional with strong field experience who can effectively coordinate project activities, monitor contractor performance, and ensure work is completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and contract requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Procore and be comfortable working closely with project management teams, subcontractors, owners, and field personnel throughout all phases of construction.
Provide onsite project engineering support throughout the construction lifecycle.
Assist with daily planning, coordination, and communication with framing and concrete subcontractors on a multifamily construction project to support schedule adherence and production goals.
Monitor and document the performance of defaulted contractors, ensuring work is completed in accordance with contractual obligations and project recovery plans.
Manage and track punch list items through completion, ensuring timely closeout and quality workmanship.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, meeting minutes, and field observations.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve technical and construction issues.
Assist with project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
Foster effective communication between owners, architects, engineers, and construction teams.
25 years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial, industrial, institutional, government, or multifamily construction.
Extensive working knowledge of Procore, including:
Document Management
RFIs
Submittals
Drawings
Daily Logs
Punch Lists
Observations
Closeout Documentation
Experience monitoring and coordinating work involving defaulted or replacement contractors.
Experience managing and driving punch list completion and project closeout activities.
Experience coordinating field operations with framing, concrete, and other subcontractors.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
