Overview
The Strategic Sourcing Lead is responsible for developing and executing a global sourcing strategy that drives operational excellence, cost savings, and supply chain resilience. This role oversees strategic sourcing activities including spend analysis, supplier selection, contract management, and relationship development. Partnering with cross-functional teams, the Lead works to improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and support overall business growth. Reporting to the CFO, the role also champions supply chain efficiency and a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Build a sourcing strategy aligned with Eastern Wholesale Fence’s vision, goals, and objectives.
- Implement a robust strategic sourcing strategy to include spend analysis, contract management and supplier scorecards.
- Plan and drive improvement initiatives to continuously enhance the capabilities, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness of the Supply Chain.
- Oversee the development and execution of global strategic sourcing and risk mitigation strategies for all managed supply categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives and manage supplier relationships.
- Contribute to revenue and profitability growth through effective sourcing and supply chain management.
- Enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the supply chain function.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and supplier relationship management.
- Advanced Excel User
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies.
- Knowledge of global supply chain trends and best practices.
