Our client is a fast growing, 100% employee-owned consulting firm with offices across North America. For decades, they've tackled big challenges in mining, water, environment, energy, transportation and advanced technology. Now, they’re looking for a Lead Hydrogeologist to join their Mine Water Management team in Vancouver, BC.
You’ll work alongside a tight-knit group of talented professionals across a variety of technical specialties. Reporting to the Group Director, you'll take on a mix of technical and leadership responsibilities, and be delivering value and technical excellence to our clients.
What You'll Do:- Lead hydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry projects for mining operations, reclamation, and closure.
- Collaborate with engineers on hard rock mining, evaporitic rock mining with underground, open pit and solution mining operations.
- Manage projects across Canada and globally, engaging clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
- Advance technical expertise through corporate practice groups and partnerships with research teams.
- Build client relationships and mentor a diverse team.
- Support recruitment to strengthen technical capabilities.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee quality control for reports, proposals, and budgets.
What You'll Bring to the Table:- Degree in Geological or Civil Engineering or Geological Science (graduate degree preferred).
- P.Eng or P.Geo registration in BC (other regions an asset).
- 15+ years in hydrogeology consulting for mine water management.
- Expertise in groundwater flow modeling and 3D geological models.
- Experience with contaminant transport and water quality predictive modeling (preferred).
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Background in environmental due diligence and risk assessment.
- Exceptional writing for reports, proposals, and project deliverables
