Job Description

Our client, an international consultancy providing world-class project design, delivery and oversight to mining companies around the world, is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Toronto. In this role, you’ll manage all parts of project execution, keeping teams aligned, tracking progress, managing stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth handover to mine operations. The ideal candidate has solid experience leading projects through all phases, ideally in mining and EPCM environments, and is excited to help the company continue its growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead project functions like engineering, procurement, planning, budgeting, First Nations engagement, health and safety, environmental work, and permitting.
  • Regularly update project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines to keep everything on track and address any issues early.
  • Build detailed plans for how the project will roll out—from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning.
  • Travel to mine sites to meet with decision-makers, contractors, suppliers, regulators, and local communities to ensure everyone is aligned.
  • Coordinate with client operations teams to gather feedback and help ensure a smooth transition from construction to operations.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure long-term success once the project is up and running.

What You'll Bring:
  • A proven track record managing projects from studies to execution and construction, especially in mining and EPCM settings.
  • Experience working on an owner’s team is a huge bonus.
  • A solid understanding of the mining industry, including processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Passion for project management and a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • A history of meeting project goals and delivering value for clients.
  • Ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration.
  • Skilled at identifying issues early, using data to make informed decisions, and adjusting strategies when needed.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
