Our client is an early-stage technology company building a category-defining product for modern businesses. Backed by strong investors and early customer traction, they are entering a critical go-to-market phase and are building their foundational GTM leadership team in San Francisco.

This is an opportunity to help design and execute the company’s go-to-market motion from the ground up.

The Role

Our client is hiring a GTM Lead to own early go-to-market execution and pipeline generation. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for outbound prospecting, market testing, and developing repeatable GTM strategies in close partnership with founders.

This role blends sales execution, market strategy, and consulting-style problem solving and is fully onsite in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Own outbound prospecting and pipeline generation across target customer segments

  • Design, test, and refine go-to-market strategies and messaging

  • Work directly with founders to define ICPs, personas, and segmentation

  • Run discovery-led conversations to validate customer pain points and buying behavior

  • Close early deals or hand off qualified opportunities as the sales team scales

  • Build and document early GTM playbooks and processes

  • Develop account lists, outreach strategies, and sequencing approaches

  • Analyze GTM performance data and iterate quickly

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects, applying a consultative selling approach

  • Gather and synthesize market feedback for product and leadership teams

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, GTM, or consulting roles

  • Strong outbound prospecting background with a history of self-sourced pipeline

  • Experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or advisory roles preferred

  • Proven ability to run structured discovery and problem-solving conversations

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and early-stage environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical, hypothesis-driven mindset

  • Highly autonomous with strong ownership mentality

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, in-office startup environment
