Our client is a fast-growing retail technology company transforming how modern retailers drive revenue, optimize operations, and engage customers across physical and digital channels. Backed by strong product-market fit and a growing customer base, they are now looking for a Vice President of Sales to build, scale, and lead their revenue organization through the next phase of growth.
The Role
- Our client is hiring a remote VP of Sales to own revenue strategy and execution end to end. This leader will be responsible for building a predictable, scalable sales engine while personally driving outcomes on the company’s largest and most strategic retail deals.
- Reporting directly to the executive team, this role will partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to accelerate growth and position the company as a category leader in retail tech.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing remote sales organization, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Own revenue targets, forecasting, pipeline health, and sales execution across all segments
- Design and refine the go-to-market strategy for mid-market and enterprise retail customers
- Act as executive sponsor on complex, high-value enterprise opportunities and strategic accounts
- Implement clear sales processes, KPIs, and operating cadence to drive accountability and consistency
- Partner with Marketing on demand generation, positioning, and pipeline creation within the retail tech space
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to ensure strong customer outcomes, retention, and expansion
- Report on revenue performance and growth strategy to the CEO, board, and investors
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a VP of Sales or senior sales leader within B2B SaaS, retail tech, or adjacent technology markets
- Demonstrated success scaling sales teams and revenue in a high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise and multi-location retail buying cycles
- Track record of building distributed or remote sales teams that consistently exceed targets
- Strategic, data-driven leader who can operate at both executive and execution levels
- Credible executive presence with C-level customers and internal stakeholders
Compensation & Benefits
