Build better manufacturing processes

Join a high-tech manufacturing facility that produces large industrial actuators. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll work hands-on with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve how products are made.

You’ll use Lean principles, data, and structured problem-solving to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys investigating production challenges, designing practical equipment and tooling, and seeing improvement projects through from idea to implementation.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze performance data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis using methods such as 8D, A3, fishbone diagrams, and 5 Whys.
  • Improve equipment effectiveness, labor productivity, first-pass yield, and throughput.
  • Support cost-reduction efforts by improving productivity and eliminating waste.
  • Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, functional gauges, and facility equipment in SolidWorks.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and fixturing issues; identify causes and implement corrective solutions.
  • Learn the facility’s capabilities to ensure designs meet production needs.
  • Build and analyze Power BI dashboards.
  • Partner across teams to deliver projects from initial concept through completion.
  • Prepare capital requests for equipment or software, including cost justifications.
  • Identify specifications and initiate purchases of materials and components needed for designs.

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Experience using functional and measurement tooling to meet gauging requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to work independently.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work with people across teams and levels.
  • Persistence in moving improvement work forward, including when challenges arise.

Preferred qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Three or more years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with machining practices or programming.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
