Position: Wi-Fi Test and Integration Engineer (San Jose, CA) 

Job Overview:
Join a high-impact engineering team focused on advancing System-on-Chip (SoC) Wi-Fi technology. As a SoC-WiFi Test Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of next-generation wireless communication solutions. You will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, enhance automation frameworks, and drive defect resolution to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

This is a W2 contract position and is not eligible for C2C or W2 referral candidates.

Key Responsibilities: 
Test Development & Execution
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases covering a wide range of WLAN features and functionalities.
• Validate wireless communication performance, functionality, and reliability across embedded systems.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and document findings to support continuous product improvement.
Test Automation & Framework Development
• Develop and enhance Python-based automation scripts and test frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and scalability.
• Build, configure, and maintain test environments, infrastructure, and equipment.
• Develop new test setups and maintain existing setups to support evolving validation requirements.
Defect Management & Quality Assurance
• Own the end-to-end defect lifecycle, from issue identification and reporting through root-cause investigation, tracking, and resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Drive continuous improvements in test processes, automation infrastructure, and overall product quality.

Required
• Advanced Python Programming: Demonstrated expertise in Python, including developing complex automation scripts, test utilities, and test cases.
• Embedded Systems Testing: Strong experience testing embedded systems, including hands-on experience with wireless traffic generation tools.
• WLAN/Wi-Fi Expertise: In-depth understanding of WLAN and Bluetooth (BT) standards, IEEE 802.11 MAC protocols, and Wi-Fi firmware.
• Test Environment Management: Proven ability to create, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain test setups and validation environments.
• Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to debugging, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
Preferred
• Experience executing Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) certification test scripts.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and continuous integration (CI) workflows.
• Experience maintaining and improving existing test automation frameworks and infrastructure.

Hours you will be work: Monday through Friday, onsite in San Jose, CA; 8 am - 5 pm PST 

Compensation: $90-$95 per hour
