Build projects that keep a refinery moving

We are seeking a Construction Manager to help plan and deliver capital projects and turnaround work at our clients Pine Bend refinery. You’ll bring practical field experience to projects from early planning and estimating through execution, helping teams meet safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and productivity goals.

Projects typically range from $20 million to $100 million and may span multiple years. Work can include piping, control rooms, modular buildings, mechanical systems, and rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors. You’ll collaborate with Build-It Project Managers, the Turnaround Group.

Why join the team

You’ll work alongside construction professionals with a range of experience and get exposure to varied challenges—from temporary systems and unplanned event response to plant outages and major capital projects. The breadth of work offers opportunities to build your expertise and shape a rewarding career at Pine Bend.

What you’ll do

  • Provide constructability input and support project estimating and planning.
  • Manage field execution for capital projects, turnarounds, and shutdowns.
  • Plan and coordinate pre-turnaround, turnaround, and post-turnaround field activities.
  • Apply construction knowledge and industry standards to deliver work safely and effectively.
  • Partner with project managers, turnaround teams, and other refinery stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Adjust work hours or shifts as needed to support outage and shutdown schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience managing mid-sized to large-sized capital projects or turnarounds in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, chemical, or refining environment.
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, cost control, and field execution.
  • The ability to translate project or turnaround plans into coordinated field work.
  • The ability to climb structures and inspect equipment at heights and in confined spaces.

Additional experience we value

  • Experience managing construction projects or turnarounds.
  • A degree in construction management or engineering.
  • Field experience or construction management experience.
