Position: Maintenance Mechanic (DeWitt, IA)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in DeWitt, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

This is a W2 contract position and is not eligible for C2C or W2 referral candidates.

Key Responsibilities: 
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on production equipment, facility systems, and support equipment.
• Set up, operate, and utilize maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime and restore production quickly.
• Maintain and repair plant infrastructure, including building and grounds systems.
• Ensure equipment operates at optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and company policies.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and completed work.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous manufacturing operations.

Qualifications: 
Required
• Experience performing maintenance in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or agricultural environment.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and strong attendance record.
Preferred
• Two or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and machine drawings.
• Welding certification or demonstrated welding experience.
• Experience performing both preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, pumps, and mechanical systems.

Schedule: Rotating 10-hour and 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required)
