Overview

Our client is seeking a passionate and relationship-driven Community Engagement & Communications Manager to lead community outreach initiatives and strengthen partnerships that support the organization's mission of serving others. This role is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with nonprofit organizations, coordinating community events, managing internal and external communications, and promoting the organization's brand through strategic engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative professional who enjoys building connections, managing projects, and making a positive impact within the community.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and strengthen relationships with nonprofit organizations, community partners, and local stakeholders that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities to expand community partnerships and create programs that address community needs while increasing organizational visibility.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, foundation activities, sponsorships, volunteer initiatives, and internal engagement programs.
• Promote community initiatives through social media, website content, press releases, and other marketing channels to maximize awareness and participation.
• Manage promotional merchandise, vendor relationships, and branded materials while ensuring consistency with organizational brand standards.
• Create and distribute the bi-weekly internal employee newsletter to support communication, culture, and employee engagement.
• Oversee the employee volunteer program by coordinating volunteer opportunities with community partners and encouraging staff participation.
• Support the organization's foundation activities, including nonprofit grant administration and committee coordination.
• Assist with product launches, member communications, training materials, website initiatives, and cross-functional marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate across departments to support strategic marketing initiatives while maintaining consistent messaging and brand integrity.
• Assist in managing marketing budgets and recommending cost-effective community engagement opportunities.
• Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and public relations activities, including occasional evenings and weekends.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in community relations, communications, public relations, marketing, digital marketing, event planning, or a related field.
• Proven experience developing partnerships and coordinating community outreach initiatives.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative applications.
• Self-motivated professional with strong decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage projects from concept through execution while collaborating effectively across departments.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally and attend occasional evening and weekend events.
