Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift 

Job Overview: Our Greensboro Transportation client, is seeking to add a NEW 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic to their team. 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and using advanced diagnostic tools to resolve issues quickly. Collaboration with the Shop Manager and strict adherence to safety standards are key to success.

What you will be doing as a Diesel Mechanic …

  • Perform timely repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment using OEM specifications, tools, and technologies.

  • Install, replace, rebuild, or repair components to meet industry standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with the Shop Manager to schedule repairs and maintenance for efficient workflow.

  • Approve or assist with scheduling dealer, shop, and field repairs while applying warranties as appropriate.

  • Operate a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and address issues.

  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA guidelines.

  • Diagnose failure modes via vehicle computer systems to determine necessary repairs.

  • Perform physical activities such as walking, lifting, twisting, turning, and climbing ladders.

Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Diesel Mechanic …
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL-A or CDL-B preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of truck and/or trailer mechanic experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of Aluminum & Steel welding experience.

Hours you will be work as a Diesel Mechanic

2:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday, rotating Saturdays
