Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

Location: Columbia, SC or Greenville, SC | Full-Time

Our client, one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast, is seeking a Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in their Charlotte, NC office. This role will serve as a project manager and/or technical lead, supporting a variety of public utility projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage water and wastewater projects from planning through construction, including scheduling, production oversight, client communication, and team coordination

• Provide technical design expertise for water/wastewater conveyance systems

• Support the design team in producing calculation reports, construction drawings, permitting packages, and project manuals

• Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews on all project documents to ensure accuracy and completeness; serve as Engineer of Record

• Utilize AutoCAD and GIS tools to support design and documentation

• Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and coordinate across disciplines

Project Types May Include:

• Water mains

• Booster pump stations

• Gravity sewer mains

• Sewer lift stations

• Force mains

• Water and wastewater treatment plants

• Hydraulic modeling

• Master planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• PE registration in North Carolina or South Carolina (required)

• Experience with municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects

• Strong technical proficiency in water and/or wastewater systems

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS systems
