Vice President, Commercial Lender

Job Overview: Our client, is seeking to add a NEW VP, Commercial Lender to their team. The Vice President, Commercial Lender is responsible for leading the growth and management of a diverse portfolio of commercial loans. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying strategic lending opportunities, and driving overall loan, revenue, and deposit growth.

 

This is a Direct Hire role.


What you will be doing as a VP, Commercial Lender…

  • Commercial Lending

    • Develop and manage a robust portfolio of commercial loans.

    • Interview applicants to determine financial needs and gather necessary application data.

    • Analyze financial statements and credit data to recommend appropriate lending solutions.

    • Evaluate creditworthiness and prepare structured, risk-aligned lending proposals.

    • Provide tailored financial solutions that align with client goals and support long-term retention.

    • Oversee loan renewals, follow up on pending deals, and ensure timely execution.

    • Deliver regular reports on sales activity, portfolio performance, and market trends to executive leadership.

    • Present performance metrics, key wins, challenges, and strategic recommendations in leadership meetings.

    Risk Management

    • Monitor loan performance to ensure compliance with credit risk policies and financial targets.

    • Proactively manage portfolio risk through consistent review and evaluation of credit exposures.

    Business Development & Relationship Management

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to drive growth.

    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients by understanding their financial goals and strategic needs.

    • Expand market share through client prospecting and strategic networking.

    • Promote financial products and services through presentations and outreach activities.

    • Leverage industry relationships and referrals to generate new business.

    • Cross-sell additional services to deepen client engagement and enhance overall value.

    • Participate in local business events, forums, and professional networks to strengthen visibility and influence.
