Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Contract ECAD Librarian / PCB Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining electronic component libraries, designing printed circuit boards (PCBs), and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and proficiency in ECAD software tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage electronic component libraries, including symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
- Design and layout PCBs based on electrical and mechanical requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
- Conduct design reviews and implement feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for PCB-related issues during manufacturing.
- Maintain documentation and records of design processes and revisions.
- Proven experience in ECAD library management and PCB design.
- Proficiency in ECAD software tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and PCB manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
