Industrial Hygienist - Mobile Lab Technician
Job Overview: Our environmental client is seeking to add a new Industrial Hygienist - Mobile Lab Technician to their team. In this role, you'll operate from a state-of-the-art mobile lab, serving clients across the Las Vegas metro area. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering accurate and timely environmental testing services, including asbestos, mold, lead, and soot analysis.
This is a Direct Hire position.
What you will be doing as a Industrial Hygienist - Mobile Lab Technician…- Travel throughout the Las Vegas metro area to collect samples for asbestos, mold, lead, and other environmental contaminants.
- Conduct on-site testing using approved methods and equipment such as Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) and XRF Analysis.
- Perform visual assessments and environmental inspections to identify contamination risks in buildings and structures.
- Accurately interpret laboratory results and determine the type and extent of environmental hazards.
- Prepare comprehensive, well-documented reports detailing findings and actionable recommendations.
- Maintain strong communication with clients to understand project goals and ensure clarity throughout the testing process.
- Stay informed about current industry regulations, standards, and best practices for environmental testing and safety.
- Participate in ongoing training and certifications to strengthen technical expertise and field knowledge.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Industrial Hygienist - Mobile Lab Technician…- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications strongly preferred: NIOSH 582, EPA AHERA, or ACAC CIEC.
- Experience in asbestos, mold, and/or lead testing is highly desirable; microscopy experience is a plus but not required—training provided.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data collection and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret results with accuracy.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal; technical writing experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours as needed.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
