Job Title: Customer Service Engineer - Network

Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support complex network infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for optimizing performance, ensuring security, and supporting enterprise-wide connectivity. This role involves working with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver robust, scalable, and secure network solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and firewalls.

  • Install and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Implement and uphold network security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access.

  • Conduct network capacity planning and recommend system enhancements or upgrades.

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors on network-related initiatives and implementations.

  • Support virtualized environments by managing software-defined and traditional network infrastructure.

  • Stay informed on emerging networking trends, technologies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field—or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering.

  • Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and switching technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto) and VPNs (e.g., IPsec, SSL).

  • Experience administering Linux systems.

  • Familiarity with virtualization and container platforms such as VMware, KVM, and Docker.

  • Skilled in using network monitoring and management tools.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+).

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Knowledge of NAS/SAN storage networking.

  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).

  • Understanding of network security standards and compliance requirements.
